Dark angel? Most translations of Genesis say that Jacob wrestled with “a man“. In the book of Hosea, he wrestles with an angel (translated from the original malakh). There’s nothing about a “dark angel” that I can find in any translation? Jacob does not lose. He wrestles with the angel/man until daybreak and the angel dislocates Jacob’s hip. Still, Jacob will not let the angel go until the angel blesses him. The angel seems impressed and asks what Jacob‘s name is. He then changes Jacob‘s name to Israel and Jacob renames the land…. is it just about struggling with the self? Is it about struggling with the super ego? Or is it just the story about a man wrestling with another man?

Thank you for the post. There are a lot of people who study Jungian psychology who would be quite shocked to know the extent of Jungs spirituality. Personally, I find it both beautiful and encouraging.

This is OK but not great. You somehow manage to talk about Jung and alchemy for an hour without mentioning Christ and giving only a moment to Mercurius. Jung’s work on alchemy cannot be understood without understanding his views on Christ, which are integrated throughout his texts. Mercurius is a much bigger topic than you give it here.

I'm 33 years old and last year I became fully disabled again. I was disabled at age 20 but I recovered after 9 months. This video gives me hope to continue. I had my first death dreams last year and it helps knowing more about these type of dreams.

How do you comment dreaming of killing other people ?

I did amateur paranormal investigating when I was in college. I have three takeaways. 1. The stupidity and ignorance of the average person ruins everything. Investigate by yourself or with heavily competent people. 2. Ghosts are not what we think they are. 3. I have far more questions than answers. I still don't know what death is. It may be different for every person.

Had experienced lots of paranormal stuff in my teens .all ghosts experiences seem to have packed their suitcase left .

I will say that this is not my favourite aspect of his stories, it is wondwrfully haunting but my favourite is how he constantly humbles humans. In under the pyramid for example, the protagonist at one point shows off his "magical" skills when a "collegue" was using "mediocre" tricks to entertain the public, showing immense pride and ego only for the universe to collectively tell him:"b*tch, sit yo lil' ass down and watch what *REAL* magic looks like" in the form of a grotesque parade of abominable mummies marching towards their elder god (who i still believe to be nyarlatothep) led by a man that should've been died for over 2000 years and his wife, yet they looked unscathed and well kept (pharaoh kephri, right?), and you see this time and time again in his stories, humans acting like they are hot sh*t only to be reminded by the universe itself that they need to humble themselves before the real deal decides to show itself

1.Jacob didn't wrestle a "dark angel", it was literally the preincarnate Christ. It was literally God. 2. Scripture tells us that it was the Angel of the Lord. 3. These are lies and you all are being deceived into thinking the bible is a book written for us to learn about ourselves and not to learn about the grace and mercy of God
